| ICC Macmillan’s core competencies matched the criteria that Thomson was searching for in a full-service, large capacity vendor. ICC Macmillan’s thirty two years of experience in educational publishing and their expertise in technical subjects such as mathematics, chemistry, and foreign language were duly noted by the vendor selection team at Thomson. In addition, ICC Macmillan’s plans to meet future market demands of new technologies was attractive to Thomson Learning. |
| Furthermore, ICC Macmillan met Thomsons’ requirements for competitive purchasing in a global marketplace. ICC Macmillan’s international presence enabled the company to offer competitive pricing for bulk work. In addition to offshore composition, coding, and illustration work, they now offer the more economical offshore project management. However, the U.S.-based sales, project management, and administrative offices will remain an integral part of the Thomson/ICC Macmillan partnership. |
